Type 2 Diabetes (DM) has become a worldwide epidemic, and the treatment and management of DM have posed a great challenge. This review, taking the related health service system of USA as an example, introduces some key information on the changes of management mode of DM. In the new management mode, the patients, health service stuffs, community health stuffs, and the health system all participate. The patients possess full health knowledge, and the health service stuffs are initiated to provide better service, thus to provide effective management for DM and other diseases.
