    Abstract:

Endovascular treatment is one of the standard treatments for acute large vessel occlusive ischemic stroke. However, a considerable number of patients still have poor outcomes, even if they achieved successful reperfusion. Therapeutic hypothermia is an attractive neuroprotective method and has a potential to significantly improve patient prognosis, despite its uncertain efcacy. This review sums up the research progress of therapeutic hypothermia in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke.
