Abstract:Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the leading causes of cancer-related mortality, imposing a substantial health burden. Despite advancements in traditional treatment methods, patients with metastatic CRC often face limited options and poor prognoses. Chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T cell) therapy, initially successful in hematological malignancies, has provided a promising approach for treating solid tumors, including CRC. This review explores the potential of CAR-T cell therapy in the treatment of colorectal cancer liver metastasis (CRLM) by analyzing relevant clinical trials, specific targets, and challenges in CAR-T cell therapy for CRLM.
