雌激素及其受体对谷氨酸诱导神经细胞损伤的作用

摘要:
谷氨酸(glutamate, Glu)的兴奋毒性已被证实对神经细胞具有损伤作用。研究发现Glu的兴奋毒性导致神经细胞损伤在多种神经系统疾病的发病过程中起着重要作用,而雌激素对Glu毒性导致的神经细胞损伤具有保护作用,该作用可能是通过雌激素受体(estrogen receptor, ER)介导完成的。本文就雌激素及其受体对Glu诱导的神经细胞损伤的作用研究作一综述。

Abstract:
[abstract] It is well known that glutamate-induced excitatory toxicity could damage nerve cells. Previous study indicated that neural cell injury from glutamate excitotoxicity may play a important role in the pathogenesis of several nervous system diseases, Nevetheless, estrogen has protective effects on neural cell injury induced by glutamate excitotoxicity and these effects may be mediated by estrogen receptor(ER).which is essentical for estrogen biological function. We reviewed some recent papers regarding to protective effects of estrogen and its receptors in neural cell injury induced by glumate.
